Authorise the link between Lorikeet and Help Scout

  1. Please nominate the email address of someone with admin access to Help Scout - send through to Lorikeet team in our shared Slack channel
  2. Lorikeet team will send back a magic link to allow authorization. This will expire in 7 days, let us know if you need a new link
  3. Please action the steps in the magic link (this can only be actioned by the individual with the email address given in Step 1)
  4. Please send us the following details:
    • Help Scout account id of the agent you’d like Lorikeet AI Agent to post as
  5. Lorikeet team will continue setup in our system.
  6. When all set up, Lorikeet team will let you know, and you will be able to control that access from within Lorikeet app, under Build > Integrations

Setup Help Scout - Lorikeet webhooks to allow real-time access of ticketing data changes

  1. Go to the Webhooks app at this link.
  2. Click “Install App”.
  3. You’ll need to create a 40 character secret key. Once you’ve done that, enter it in the “Secret Key” field. This will let us validate any webhook requests we get are genuinely from your Help Scout instance.
    • Important: Please securely send us this secret once done!
  4. In the “Callback URL” field, enter https://api.optech.ai/webhooks/helpscout.
  5. Toggle the “Active” button.
  6. Enable these events:
    • Conversation Created
    • Conversation Assigned
    • Conversation Deleted
    • Conversation Note Added
    • Conversation Customer Reply
    • Conversation Agent Reply
    • Conversation Status Updated
    • Conversation Tags Updated
  7. Select the inbox/es that you’d like Lorikeet to respond to.
  8. Click “Save”.
